It's Official

Some of you may have already guessed what's going on, and some of you no doubt already know. It is official, as you might have guessed by the title. I am courting Susan Garrison, whose intelligent and attractive blog may be found here. The blog represents the woman pretty well, I must say, although to a lesser degree. And before I sicken you with what I'm really feeling, I think I'll sign off.

In Christ.

;-)

So when do I get to meet you?

Her blog is attractive? That means you like pink! :-)
And many thanks for not sickening us.
I'm waiting in eager anticipation for Susan's record of her food intake from this weekend! I've had some pretty yummy food myself.
So when are you coming back to visit?

*thinks about what Zan said, takes it to heart, and reaches for the phone to call Charter*

Congrats!

Praise to the Lord! You both have my heartfelt prayers and encouragment as you commence this journey into marriage known as courtship.

Adrian, you probably alreay know this but Susan e-mailed me the day before she left for Minnesota and had the most complimentary things to say about you. I know God has brought this about for the two of you in his perfect timing.

God's richest blessings upon you both.

By Christ's Grace,
Lydia

I had thought that if Susan posted a paragraph on her blog with words like rACK, stACK, mACKerel, bACK, crACK, knACK, etc., and if you posted a paragraph on your blog with words like SEGue, hooSEGow, SEGger, houSE Girl, etc., someone would put two and two together. Ya gotta love those initials! Although yours are so much easier to work with than Susan's. ;-)
.... .Anyway, what a catch! (And I'll leave it up to you to decide whether I'm referring to you or Susan.) ;-) Maybe I should change that to "what a match!"

Congratulations, both of you!!!

Sicken us? You must be kidding! If marriage is in your future, one thing you absolutely must learn about women is that we THRIVE on the details! As soon as you and Susan are ready, please share your stories with a VERY interested readership.

Ha! I knew it! I've thought for quite a while that you two would be a good match - incredibly high intelligence levels and all...anyone else would be hard-pressed to converse intelligently on the same variety of subjects as either of you! ;-)

A huge congrats to both of you! May the Lord continue to direct and bless your relationship and use you in a mighty way to further His kingdom!

HA! I knew it...or at least I had very high suspicions! Congratulations to you both!

I liked Susan's post better. Adrian, the engineer. Sheesh. Susan's blog entry was artistic. Well, yours at least got the job done. :-)

Well, I just remember Charter's slogan from a commercial I heard years ago - "If you don't get help at Charter, get help somewhere." I think they mean more people with problems like depression, not for those who get sick from gooshy details. ;-)
Anyway, it was supposed to be funny, but I guess it'd only be funny if you knew what Charter was!
And Susan gets back this evening, so that's why you haven't heard more details, Zan. So sorry.

And I'd like to know if there happens to be anyone out there who wasn't expecting this to happen!! I didn't think so...

Adrian, you really need to keep a few more wet blankets around. You like p*** and you're going to give details (you know you are, too...) and you have an overwhelming number of references to Emma and S&S on your blog here. Oi...

Congratulations anyway. I hope it all works out for you two.

Hannah~

I thought your Charter comment was hilarious. My sisters and I used to joke around about that all the time. "...1-800-charter" :-) Wonder if they're still in business...?

Your comments are always quite humorous and entertaining!

I'm glad someone got my joke, Natalie! Charter was somewhat of a joke with me and Susan and one of our friends as well. And don't feel bad, Zan, you didn't butcher it. :-)

Congrats Adrian! I don't think I've actually communicated with you directly since all this has happened, but you know I've been praying for you both!
Okay, I had y'all matched since you left your very first comment on my blog in January of 2006. I read your profile and knew that was it. I wonder if anyone had you matched before then??
Anyone, anyone? When did you first think that Susan and Adrian should get together??? Seriously, I'm interested.
Congrats again, ACKSEG...

(And Hannah, once you repeated Charter's slogan I remembered those commercials and laughed... I do remember Charter after all : ) )

Esther and I had them matched from the start, too. :-) Although, I don't want to say that I thought immediately, "They need to get married!", but I saw him as a 'possibility'(do you like being spoken of as a 'possiblity', Adrian?! :-) ). I've always said that I would pick out Susan's future husband, and I take my job seriously! ;-)

. . . And I appreciate all of you scheme-ers not telling me of your schemes until the time was appropriate! Mental matchmaking is all fun, but it's awfully awkward for the persons involved (especially the female!) when such schemes are reported to her :-P. So thank you one and all for keeping your thoughts to yourself in the beginning ;-).

Yes, yes, that's what I was doing, Susan. Aren't you proud of me?

hehe. *smiles at Ashley*

Well, I'd like to think I was the matchmaker, as I always said I would be, but really I didn't do anything but sit back and watch, hoping and praying, as God worked everything out in His own time and own way. :-)
I felt like sayings things LOTS of times, too, Zan! But we both held our tongues... er... our fingers, I guess. ;-)

Esther, you suggested it in Nov 2005!! Of course I laughed!! :-) I didn't want to perpetuate such a premature notion. You were just so bubbly about it (big shock!) that I had to laugh. ;-)

To Susan,

You know, it is a bit hard with all these matchmakers around. Emmas, the lot of them. And now you can chastise me for being harsh. *grins* I'm just having fun.

Zan and Esther and Tammy and Hannah and Lydia and Ashley and Nicholas and Miriam and Natalie and Jessica and Lane and Mrs. G and anyone else I may have missed:

Thank you for all your obvious encouragement. It is good to have friends who support you in important things like this.

In Christ.

You know, une_fille_d'Ève (Hannah =), I might would have thought they were meant for each other if I had HEARD about him before they were practically courting!!! =O ;)

The fun begins!

Grace, they didn't tell you about Adrian??? Oh, I'm so sorry dear. If I had known you were in the dark-- well I guess it would've been gossip after all if I had said anything about it. (Of course I would've had to have "known" you a little better then too.) But now we can say anything we want about it, as long as we're nice, right? : )

And Adrian, you're welcome ; ) (You picked a good one too, btw.)
